NEW DELHI, Nov 29: Lead prices edged lower by 0.42 per cent to Rs 128.90 per kg in futures trade today, after speculators reduced their exposures amid sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in December shed 45 paise, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 128.90 per kg in business turnover of 209 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month January next year declined by 35 paise, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 130 per kg in a turnover of one lot.
Market analysts sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot markets mainly put pressure on lead futures prices here but metal’s gain at the London Metal Exchange, limited the fall. (PTI)
