NEW DELHI, Sept 1: Lead prices were down 0.49 per cent to Rs 152.95 per kg amid muted domestic demand in futures trading today as participants trimmed their exposure.
Lead for delivery in October declined by 75 paise or 0.49 per cent to Rs 152.95 per kg in a business turnover of 12 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in September shed 45 paise or 0.29 per cent to Rs 152.45 per kg in 559 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in lead futures was triggered by a weak trend at the domestic spot markets due to sluggish demand from consuming industries, particularly battery-makers. (PTI)
