Law & order, development scenario reviewed in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR: A high-level meeting of Government officials today reviewed law and order and developmental scenario in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where security forces killed two militants, including Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, successor of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani, who died in an encounter in July last year.

An official spokesman said here to assess the overall law & order scenario and to review the status of ongoing mega projects in Kashmir division, Chief Secretary, J&K Government B B Vyas today convened a high-level meeting with senior officers in Pulwama.

The meeting was attended by Director General Police J&K Dr S P Vaid, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department Raj Kumar Goyal, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Muneer-ul-Islam and SSP Pulwama. (AGENCIES)
