JAMMU, June 21: Last date for submitting application forms for fresh admission in all the Government Colleges in Jammu city was extended today by June 25.
Now the first cut off merit list for admission in these City colleges will be issued on June 29.
Earlier, the last date for submitting application forms was June 21 while the cut off list had to be released on June 27. The last date for submitting application forms was extended in view of the heavy rush of admission seekers.
So far, a total number of 10,500 candidates have applied for admission in the five City colleges, which include GGM Science College, Government College for Women Parade, Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, SPMR College of Commerce and MAM College.
In GCW Parade, where online facility for admission has also been provided, 3000 candidates have submitted the application forms. The number of applications for admission in GCW Gandhi Nagar is 2300 while 2700 candidates have so far applied in GGM Science College. The number of admission applications, received at SPMR College of Commerce and MAM College, is 2700 and 1500, respectively.
Meanwhile, all arrangements were finalized for the Combined Entrance Test- 2013 tomorrow in which 24000 candidates are appearing across the State.
Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), which is conducting the CET, has set up total 24 centres for the purpose. Fourteen 14 centres have been established at Kashmir and 10 in Jammu.
