Large number of devotees throng Kailash Dham

JAMMU, June 6: A large number of devotees thronged the Kailash Dham Ashram today where the two- day long Maha Yagya concluded this afternoon.
The Maha Yagya was organized by the Kailash Dham Trust. The devotees were served with prashad after Puranahuti. The Maha Yagya performed at Kailash Dham annually on the day of Zesth Ashtami is unique in its form as thousands of Mantras are recited by the religious scholars brought from Haridwar in Uttranchal for this religious function.
On the occasion, local Sarpanch and BJP district president Akhnoor, Sukhdev Singh Jamwal was felicitated by Prof A K Ogra a Trustee on behalf of the Trust for his social service.
The function was attended by VHP patron Dr Rama Kant Dubey, Justice (retd) B L Bhat, Ravi Thusoo, ex DC, Omi Khajuria, BJP district Akhnoor general secretary, Ashwani Chrungoo, president PK, Harji Lal Jad, Ashok Sharma a Trustee and others.
The three day long religious function which started Kalash Pooja yesterday will culminate tomorrow.
In the evening a Maha Aarti was held in which large number of devotees took part and paid their obeisance.
Prof Ogra also gave religious discourses and highlighted the significance of organising such Maha Yagyas. The Trust had made elaborate arrangements for the devotees.
