JAMMU, May 7: Landslides blocked the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Ramban this evening.
Traffic Police sources said that heavy rainfall triggered landslides at Seri near Ramban this evening blocking the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The closure of highway led to stranding of large number of vehicles from both sides.
They said that Border Roads Organization, which is responsible for the maintenance of the highway, would begin road clearance work tomorrow morning following which preference would be given to the clearance of the stranded vehicles.
