JAMMU, Apr 4: Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment , Choudhary Lal Singh interacted with party activists and general public to address their issues at BJP Headquarter,here at Trikuta Nagar today. Several officials from the Forest Department accompanied the Minister during the session.
Interacting with the activists and the public, Minister emphasized that Centre Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi stands committed to the welfare of the common masses. He said that gone are the days, when the politicians sit and relax in their chairs after winning the elections. Now it is the time to prove performance and be answerable to the common masses.
Minister said that party has directed all party ministers to ensure their periodic availability to the ground level activists and the general public so as to bridge the gap between the two. He said that in these programmes anybody can easily approach to the ministers and raise the issue concerning their departments which they are facing in their day to day lives. He stressed that not everyone can easily meet the concerned ministers in Civil Secretariat, so these sessions come as a sort of relief to those in need.
More than 50 deputations met Minister for redressal of their personal as well as public problems. Various important issues were highlighted by the deputations, which included construction of roads, development of ponds and parks in their areas. Other issues related to the saw mills, plantations etc. were also taken by various delegations. Minister also spoke on the initiatives taken to address the pollution menace in the State by planting more fruit, ornamental and other trees in available areas.
Lal Singh addressed many problems by telephonically talking to the authorities and issued written instructions for others.
