KATHUA, July 5: For providing healthcare facilities to the people of Ghatti and Mahi Chak at par with Kathua District Hospital, Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings Choudhary Lal Singh today dedicated New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) to Ghatti people and Sub-Centre to Mahi Chak people.
The New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) at Ghatti has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.50 lakh and Sub-Centre at Mahi Chak at an estimated cost of Rs. 27.55 lakh by Roads and Bridges (PWD) Department within stipulated time frame.
After dedicating both the hospitals, the Minister addressed a large gathering at Ghatti and said Government is committed to provide medicare facilities to the people within 10 kilometre distance of every headquarter so that people are saved of the long distance journey for treatment of patients.
Choudhary Lal Singh informed that the NTPHC at Ghatti has been dedicated to the people of the area with all latest facilities. He directed the medicos and paramedics to provide best possible healthcare facilities to the people and avoid sending the attendants of the patients for purchasing of medicines from open market.
The Minister said all hospitals in the three regions have been equipped with sufficient stock of medicines and equipments.
Responding to the locals demand, the Minister directed the Director Health Services to provide ambulance services in NTPHC Ghatti within week time for transportation of critical patients to Super Specialty Hospital, Government Medical College and Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital in Jammu.
Earlier, Minister conducted Public Grievances Redressal Camp at Ghatti and assessed the developed related issues of the people.
Choudhary Lal Singh solved all the genuine problems of the Chang and Bakhta areas and left out referred to the concerned departments for early redressal.
Choudhary Lal Singh also inaugurated workshop on Cochlear implant in ENT Department of Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital at Jammu.
After inaugurating the workshop, Dr. J M Hans performed surgery for Cochlear implant in ENT Department.
Principal Government Medical Hospital Dr. Ghanshyam Dev Gupta besides other senior officers of Medical Education Department were present on the occasion.
