Lal Singh conducts surprise check of health centres

JAMMU, Apr 2: Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Ch Lal Singh today paid surprise visit to primary health centres at Sohanjana and Kot Bhalwal and urban evening health centres at Subash Nagar, Gujjar Nagar and Digiana and reviewed the functioning of these institutions.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr Robinder Khajuria besides other senior officers of Health Department accompanied the Minister during the visit.
Expressing grave concern on finding urban evening health centres at Subash Nagar, Gujjar Nagar and Digiana closed, the Minister directed the Chief Medical Officer to seek explanation from the absent medicos and paramedical staff. He asked the CMO to ensure punctuality of the staff in the health institutes so that the people do not face any inconvenience.
Ch Lal Singh directed the concerned doctors and paramedics to be punctual and ensure proper medicare is provided to the people maintaining that any lackadaisical approach in fulfilling the duties will be dealt sternly.
The Minister directed for posting adequate staff at primary health centre Sohanjana.
He said the health infrastructure is being developed in the state for extending better health care facilities to the people, adding the Government is committed to equip all the rural as well as far off health institutions with adequate infrastructural and logistic facilities.
