JAMMU, Aug 4: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State president Arun Prabhat today said that the recently-held Tiranga rally at historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar is the testimony of fast-changing Jammu and Kashmir post-abrogation of Article 370 under the strong leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
“Thousands of youth, women and elders from Kashmir valley participated in the Tiranga rally and it indicates that there is no dispute and restrictions on unfurling Tricolour in any part of Jammu and Kashmir. It also shows that Tricolour flies and thrives in the heart of every resident of J&K,” Arun Prabhat, BJYM State president told reporters at party Headquarters here.
Flanked by BJYM general secretary, Kapil Chib and media incharge Chetan Wanchoo, he said, “We used to witness anti-India sloganeering at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. A perception was created in Kashmir where unfurling of Tricolour was considered a crime. The fast-changing Jammu and Kashmir is a good sign for the people, especially youth because they now feel that there is no place for the policy of appeasement, secessionism and pro-Pakistan narrative,” he added.
“Since the abrogation of Article 370, a wind of change is blowing in J&K. Now there are no restrictions on unfurling of Tricolour and singing of the National Anthem. It has been made possible only because of the strong leadership of PM, Narendra Modi”, Prabhat said.
He said, “The fast-changing J&K can also be seen in the Downtown area of Srinagar where women are joining Self-Help Groups to make Khadi Tricolours to be sent to different parts of the country. This is quite contrary to what the people used to witness prior to abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A in J&K”.
Prabhat said the BJYM has created history by holding a momentous rally at Lal Chowk, Srinagar. “This is for the first time in 70 years when the BJYM has held such a big and massive Tiranga rally there. Moreover, it was for the first time after 1992 when such a large gathering of nationalists’ people took place at Lal Chowk and the Tricolour was unfurled. Last time, former BJP president, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had unfurled Tricolour at Lal Chowk in 1992,” he said.
“It is now time for cultural and social reintegration post-abrogation of Article 370,. We are committed to take forward the abrogation of 370 because it is our duty to ensure a complete, social, political, and economic re-integration of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
The BJYM State president extended his sincere gratitude to the people of Kashmir, thousands of Morcha activists and senior party leadership for making ‘Tiranga Rally’ a big success and historic event.
Meanwhile, Prabhat announced that the BJYM will start Tiranga bike rallies in every district of J&K from August 9 to August 11 to create public awareness. “On August 13, 14 and 15, we will take out Prabhat Pheris to reach out to every household of the UT with a Tricolour, he added.
Arun Prabhat and his team was yesterday given a massive reception in Jammu after holding successful Tiranga rally at Srinagar.
