Lal Batti glamour

Sir,
We commonly notice beacon light vehicle on the busy roads moving in high speed towards their destination. Traffic is stopped till the beacon light vehicle moves ahead. It is now a common phenomenon that people suffer in regular traffic jams. Our Govt. in its writ has categorised some people in the whole society as VIP, VVIPs and these are held as distinguished ones. Common men are at a loss to understand such type of discrimination where some people go scot free while moving in  vehicles on the busy roads.
Traffic rules and regulations stand infringed when some VIPs vehicle is coming, roads are cleared of the traffic as quickly as possible by the security guards who stand on duty by the road side. So far as the beacon light (Lal Bati) culture is concerned it has compounded the sufferings of the people. People have to face so many difficulties on way to their office or in performing some important work as is generally observed. We are living in a democratic set up. Everyone is equal in the eyes of law. It does not sound well to classify peope on the lines of using beacon lights.
In the welfare state our Govt. needs to look after the welfare of our common people at large. This should be the guiding principle of our democratic Govt. The writ of the Govt. with regard to beacon light used by the VIP or VIP’s should in no way be deterimental for common people and necessary notifications should be executed in the matter.
Yours etc…..
