Lakhanpur police foils bovine smuggling bid, rescues 11 animals

KATHUA July 31: Continuing its endeavor to thwart  the evil designs of the bovine smugglers,  Police Station Lakhanpur today foiled  bovine smuggling bid and rescued 11 bovine animals.
Acting swiftly on specific information , a team of Police Station Lakhanpur led by Inspector, Sushil Sharma during late last night established checkpoint on the road emanating from river Ravi.
Police seized the truck bearing registration number JK02AK-5067 illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process Police saved 11 bovine animals being smuggled in the truck.
Accordingly police registered a case FIR no 72/2018 under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act .
Further investigation into the case is going on. People in general widely appreciated action of Kathua Police.
