JAMMU, Sept 9: The prestigious election for the post of Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, will be held on September 16.
This was communicated to all 30 Councilors of the LAHDC Leh by the Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Khan, who is Election Authority and also serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to the Council.
The LAHDC Kargil Chairman/CEC Haji Hanifa Mohammad Jan had been defeated in the no-confidence motion moved against him by the opposition by 14 votes to 15 while one vote was invalid.
The DC Kargil has written to all 30 Councilors to participate in the election for Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Kargil at Conference Hall, Baroo, Kargil at 11 am on September 16.
The Councilors intending to contest for the post of the Chairman/CEC had to communicate their names to the DC Leh.
