LAHDC allots 830 kanals of land to 98 families

LEH, July 7: In a significant development, LAHDC, Leh today allotted Srongpey Rantak land (about 830 kanals) along the river Indus in favour of 98 families of Stakna village.
CEC LAHDC Leh, Gyal P Wangyal was the chief guest on the occasion where Member Parliament Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Councillor Martselang Stanzin Chosphel allotted the land to 98 families by drawing lots.
CEC Wangyal expressed happiness over the allotment of land and termed the day as historic for the beneficiary village and congratulated the beneficiaries.
Applauding the efforts of MP Ladakh and Councillor Martselang Stanzin Chosphel for vigorously following the land distribution case since years, the CEC appreciated the dedicated efforts of revenue staff headed by Tehsildar Leh, Sonam Gyurmet and Naib Tehsildar, Chushot Mustaq Ahmad and land distribution committee Stakna in distribution of the land.
The CEC urged upon the people to make fullest use of the allotted land by converting it into green patch in the shortest possible time and assured all possible support from Hill Council Leh in providing irrigation and other required facilities in future.
Member Parliament Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal while speaking on the occasion thanked 5th LAHDC, Leh led by CEC Gyal P Wangyal for fulfilling the long pending demand of the people.
He urged upon the villages to make best use of the allotted land and said that projects like MODI will also prove beneficial for such land.
Councillor Martselang Stanzin Chosphel and Sarpanch Stakna Stanzin Norzang also spoke on the occasion.
