JAMMU, July 30: Bhatindi police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a lady along with heroin.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bhatindi police post laid a naka near Doongi and apprehended a lady along with 4 grams heroin.
The arrested lady has been identified as Shabnam Akhter alias Shabbu, wife of Altaf Ahmed, a resident of District Rajouri, at present residing in Doongi, Bhatindi.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bahu Fort police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Bhatindi police post SI Arun Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma, SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
