JAMMU, May 18: A man hailing from Ladakh was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Nai Basti area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
A police spokesman said that, 40-year-old Bala, son of Lalu Kumar, a resident of Ladakh was found unconscious in Nai Basti this morning.
On getting information, police team from Gandhi Nagar police station rushed to the spot and shifted the man to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for postmortem, which will be conducted after family members of the deceased, will arrive.
A case in this regard stands registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigations started.
