Ladakh MP conferred Suryadatta National Integration Award

LEH, Oct 15: During his first visit to Pune, Ladakh MP, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has been conferred Suryadatta National Integration Award-2019 for his significant contributions in nation building.
The Award 2019 was conferred upon the MP by Suryadatta Education Foundation (SEF) in the presence of Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor of Pune University; Dnyaneshwar Mulay, Member of Human Right Commission; Girish Bapat, MP Pune Constituency and other important dignitaries at Maharashtra Sahityakala Prasarini Sabha.
Suryadatta National Integration Awards are given to towering personalities from all walks of life, whose significant contributions towards the enrichment of their chosen vocation have made a difference to the society, transforming all those lives that they have touched and leaving their footprints on the sands of time.
The young MP from Ladakh had hailed the government’s decision to bifurcate J&K State and making Ladakh a Union Territory like Chandigarh. Namgyal’s fiery speech in Lok Sabha had won praise for him from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other lawmakers.
He became the first Ladakhi to trend with more than one hundred thousand tweets mentioning him. His followers on his Twitter handle multiplied almost 100 times to 330,000 from less than 4,000 before his speech.
