A handout stated that as a part of the protest on June 1, all employees of Ladakh Power Development Department will wear black badge on their arms.
Meanwhile, president Citizen’s Forum, R.K Chadha has requested the Prime Minister, Narendera Modi and J&K Lieutenant Governor, G.C Murmu to stop the privatization of PDD in J&K UT as there is no comparison between the poor people of J&K and those of big cities like New Delhi, Mumbai etc.
In a handout Chadha said claimed that J&K UT is working on grants and loans from the Center and instead of finding avenues to increase income of the people here the Union Government wants to harass J&K people with privatization of power department.
