JAMMU, Dec 26: A highway labourer was today knocked to death by car in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, the mishap occurred this evening at about 4:30 pm Sources said two speeding cars coming from Narwal side collided with each other and one of them also hit a labourer engaged in some highway work at Sidhra near petrol pump.
He said the labourer received critical injuries in the mishap and was rushed immediately to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body of the deceased identified as Rattan Chand son of Sonkhu Ram, resident of Nagrota, was sent for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station.
