BHADERWAH, Aug 4: A 50-year-old labourer was killed and another critically injured today when an under construction protection-wall collapsed in Pahalgwara area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chatroo police station.
The wall was being built by the Jammu and Kashmir Roads and Buildings Department, a police officer said.
It collapsed when a group of labourers were working. Two workers namely Abdul Aziz and Roshan Lal got trapped under the debris, he said, adding they were residents of Chingam village.
Abdul Aziz died on the spot and Lal was rescued and admitted to a hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical, the officer said.
A case in this regard has been registered at Chatroo police station and investigation started.
