Labourer found hanging, four injured in mishap

JAMMU, June 12: A migrant labourer from Chhatisgarh was found hanging at a brick kiln in Barn area of city outskirts while four persons were injured in a road mishap in Gharota area.
“Ram Charan Bareta (36) son of Kishori lal, resident of Chhatisgarh, was found hanging last night from a tree at a brick kiln in Patta Khoo (Barn) area, where he was presently staying as well working,” a police official said. He said today after getting conducted postmortem, the body of the labourer was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The official said that inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Gharota.
Meanwhile, four persons including two women were injured today when a scooter and a bike collided with each other at Gharota. The injured were identified as Mohan Lal (22) son of Ramesh Lal of Gharota and Joginder Kumar (40) son of Om Parkash, Rajjo (30) wife of Joginder Sharma and Sushma (25) wife of Sukhdev Sharma, all residents of Akhnoor.
All the injured were hospitalized while Gharota police had taken cognizance of the matter.
