JAMMU, Sept 26: A labourer of a private company engaged in construction work of flyover near Asia Hotel was today electrocuted to death while discharging its duties.
According to a police spokesman, the labourer identified as Surabh Chowdary (21) son of Shambu Chowdary, resident of Bihar, at present Vikram Chowk received severe electric shock while working at construction site near Asia Hotel and died on the spot.
The body of the deceased labourer was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after completing all medico-legal formalities. A case in this connection was registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigations started.
