JAMMU, July 25: A labourer today died of electrocution at its workplace in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the labourer identified as Bablu Yadav (40), resident of Banaras (at present residing in Bhagwati plastic factory at Gangyal, Jammu) received severe electric shock while cooking food on an electric heater at its workplace.
He said in unconscious condition Bablu was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem while Gangyal police have initiated inquest proceedings in the case.
