KATHUA, May 18: Police have arrested a labour from Jharkhand who was allegedly involved in kidnapping and murder of a two and half year old child on May 2 in the Ramnagar Colony of Kathua.
The accused, identified as Rattan Kumar son of Mohinder Prashad of Sikandar Babripur, district Bagalpur in Bihar, had fled away from the State after committing the heinous crime.
He had allegedly kidnapped the minor Rohit Pandit, son of Seema Devi and Pardeep Kumar of Tilakpur Bihar, presently putting up at Ramnagar Colony, Ward No. 14 in Kathua. On May 5, body of the child was found from bushes near Maggar Khad, Jagatpur.
After a series of raids, special investigating team arrested the accused yesterday from Sahibganj Jharkhand.
