JAMMU, Oct 7: President Dharmarth Trust Council BR Kundal chaired a meeting of senior functionaries of the Trust and reviewed the arrangements for the forthcoming Navratras starting on October 10.
The participants informed that in all the temples dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi, Mahakali, Lakshmi and Chint Purani all the required arrangements for the devotees shall be in place well before the start of the festival. Special attention has been paid to cleanliness and hygiene, besides ensuring, bhajan kirtan, they said, adding that at some places night long jagratas will also be held. Floral decoration, lighting and bunting shall be done in all the temples, they stated.
A new initiative to celebrate the festival of navratras in all the temples managed by the trust located in all the districts particularly in the rural and semi rural areas was also taken in the meeting and in this connection separate pandals will be constructed.
BR Kundal said that though such arrangements need to be put in place in all the temples of the trust, special care should be accorded wherein large number of devotees are expected to visit. He directed the managers and other senior functionaries of the trust to visit the temples assigned to them to see the arrangements and monitoring reports should be sent to the central office.
President also directed the participants to liaison with the local administration to seek their cooperation, besides contacting the local devotees and other respectable of the locality concerned.
Additional Secretary Kashmir and General Manager Kheer Bhawani were also instructed to decorate the temples falling under their jurisdictions.
Secretary DT, Administrator Shree Raghunath Ji Temple, Vice Chairman Sudh Mahadev Temple among others participated in the meeting.
