JAMMU, Dec 28: The Government today ordered that Muneer Ahmad Khan, Additional DGP Law & Order/Home Guards and Security, will also hold charge of the post of Director SSG J&K following retirement of Surinder Kumar Gupta on December 31.
The Government has also posted Vijay Kumar, IGP Armed Kashmir as new IGP Kashmir in place of SP Pani.
Pani will replace Kumar as the IGP Armed Kashmir.
An IPS officer of 1997 batch, Vijay Kumar has earlier held various important posts in Kashmir including SDPO Ganderbal, SP Operations Pulwama, SP Awantipora, SP Kulgam, SP Kupwara, SP Vigilance Srinagar, DIG Traffic Kashmir and DIG South Kashmir besides IGP Armed Kashmir. He has also served in the CRPF on Central deputation as DIG New Delhi Range, IGP CoBRA and IGP Chhattisgarh.
