JAMMU, Feb 8: Internatio-nally acknowledged Agricultural Policy Scientist, Shashank Kulkarni has been selected for prestigious SAARC Regional Brilliance Award 2022.
The award confirmation letter was provided by Dr. Rajib Pal, Chief Coordinator of the Award Committee. Dr. Pal said that contributions of Kulkarni in the field of agricultural and farmers’ policies were not only important for India but also for all other SAARC countries too as his research will provide help to improve life conditions of farmers in South Asian Region.
A handout stated that this important international award will be confirmed to Shashank Kulkarni at SAARC Regional Brilliance Cultural Summit to be held at Nepal Tourism Board Auditorium, Kathmandu during March 10-13, 2022.
Shashank is internationally known for his outstanding contribution in the field of agricultural and farmer policy.
He contributed in Farmers’ Policies of India through his internationally acknowledged book ‘Swaminathan Commission: A Foundation of Farmer Policies in India’. This book becomes more credible, authentic and important as it carries a foreword by Father of Green Revolution, Prof. M.S Swaminathan.
Shashank Kulkarni is an Agricultural Engineer. He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, Rahuri.
