JAMMU, Feb 13: Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Pahari Speaking People, Kuldeep Raj Gupta today laid the foundation of Boys Hostel for Pahari speaking people at village Keran in Bantalab being executed by PWD at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Kuldeep Gupta directed the concerned authorities to complete the work in stipulated time frame and asked for maintaining quality of work.
Kuldeep Gupta said the Government is committed for the welfare and uplift of the Pahari speaking people of the State and several initiatives have already been taken in this regard.
Regarding the hostel building, he said it will have the capacity of 33 rooms and the boys hailing from downtrodden sections of the society especially Pahari speaking people will be benefitted by this hostel.
While responding to the issue of the casual labourers of the Board regarding their salaries and regularization, Kuldeep Gupta assured them that their demands would be redressed soon.
Secretary State, Pahari Advisory Board Zaqir Hussain, Executive Engineer PWD, Utter Kumar Sharma and concerned officers were present on the occasion.
