KSD president, GS among 4 injured in road accident

SAMBA, Sept 1: Kashmir Samiti Delhi (KSD) president and general secretary were among four people injured in road accident at Bari Brahmana in Samba district early this morning after the Boleno Car in which they were travelling hit another vehicle which was on its way to Mata Vaishno Devi from Delhi.
As per reports, the KSD president, Sameer Chrungoo and its general secretary, VijayRaina besides two more persons including Dilip Tickoo and Ravi Choudhary who were travelling in a Boleno car from Delhi to Jammu this morning were injured after the vehicle in which they were travelling ram into a Scorpio going ahead of it after the Scorpio driver suddenly applied the break.
Reports said that Vijay Raina received serious head injury and he was shifted to DMC Ludhiana while Dhirender Tickoo who too received serious injuries has been shifted to AIIMS Delhi.
Sameer Chrungoo and K K Choudhary also received injuries but they were out of danger and were discharged from GMC after getting first aid.
All the persons travelling in the Scorpio are safe. The KSD leaders were travelling to Jammu to attend the last rites of Chaman Lal Chrungoo, father of PK chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo who died yesterday.
The Bari Brahmana police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law. The condition of Vijay Raina is stated to be critical as he is in coma.
