KPUCC discusses problems of migrants

JAMMU, Mar 2: A meeting of office bearers and members of Kashmiri Pandit United Coordination Committee (KPUCC) Jagti was held here today under the chairmanship of Anu Jee and Bansi Lal Koul, president and chairman of the Committee respectively.
During the meeting various issues of displaced people were discussed and it expressed grave concern over the attitude of the authorities for carrying out renovation and repairs of quarters on pick and choose basis.
Bansi Lal Kaul said that the authorities  should desist from undertaking works on pick and choose basis and should treat all migrants putting up in camps alike and there should be no partiality in renovation of quarters.
Anu Je made an appeal to the authorities to ensure proper supply of water , power and other commodities on the occasion of Maha Shivratri falling on March 6. He also demanded that proper check be maintained on market to avoid the black marketing and overcharging.
Others who attended the meeting included Tej Krishan Bhat, M K Tickoo, Kanya Lal Sidha, Sachin Handoo, Ankush, Shill Tickoo, Rahul and others.
