KPUCC discusses problems of Jagti township inmates

JAMMU, Sept 24: Kashmiri Pandit United Coordination Committee (KPUCC) Jagti Township in its meeting today held under the chairmanship of Bansi Lal Koul and Anu Ji, chairman and president of the Committee respectively discussed various problems of the inmates of the township.
The meeting expressed grave concern over slackness of authorities in conducting the renovation of the damaged walls and flooring of quarters. The meeting said that only floor tiles are being provided and laid in the bath rooms and damaged plaster and other structures are not being repaired.
The meeting said that long time is being consumed in repairing the damaged work which has added to the sufferings of the inmates of the quarters. It demanded early completion of renovation work.
Koul also expressed his concern over the locking of migrant quarters by some people after allotment as they are neither putting up there nor have taken the possession of the quarters. The matter needs to be investigated and these quarters be allotted to the needy people living in rented accommodations.
The meeting also expressed concern over supply of unhygienic water to the Jagti township and demanded immediate renovation of quarters and cleanliness of drains and lanes.
