Srinagar, Dec 12: KPSS express strong resentment against the Present National Conference Government for deliberately damaging the property of Sheetleshwar Bhairav Temple, Sheetal Nath, Habbakadal for constructing Public Urinal adjacent to the boundary wall of the temple property.
KPSS has come to know that one of the so claimed party worker of National Conference candidate from Habbakadal Constituency living in the vicinity of the Sheetal Nath temple, is behind all this mess as he has some vested interest in damaging the temple property of the Kashmiri Pandits. Since past six years he alongwith other party workers of his group has used the National Conference office to damage the identity of the Kashmiri Pandits in the Habbakadal Constituency.
In recent past 13 Kashmiri Pandit Houses in Habbakadal were brought down with the help of Srinagar Municipality without giving any information to its real owners. Two others houses of Kashmiri Pandits in Habbakadal area were brought down with the help of R&B Department by the same group to construct Shopping Complex for themselves. One house of Kashmiri Pandit in Barbar Shah area demolished and a park was constructed on that patch of land. It seems that to encash the votes from the majority community National Conference is comfortable to damage the very existence of the minorities in the Habbakadal Constituency, KPSS president Sanjay K.Tickoo said in a statement today.
He said even during the last days of current session of the National Conference Govern-ment, they do not miss a chance to damage the age old temple of the Kashmiri Pandit Community in Habbakadal Area.
