JAMMU, July 15: PCC chief and MP, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today assured the Kashmir Pandits that they will surely get a space in the political dispensation of the State.
In an interactive session with Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) led by its president, R K Bhat he assured them full support to their demands.
He urged the Kashmiri Pandits to support the efforts of Congress Party to restore peace, economic and political stability in the state saying the KPs have to play a leading role in restoration of Kashmiriyat in the Valley by its physical presence, through votes and support.
Prof Soz also urged the Minister of State with independent charge of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Aijaz Ahmed Khan to attend the problems of unemployed youth, residents of Jagti and other transit accommodations in the Valley immediately.
Earlier Mr Bhat highlighted various issues pertaining the state and Kashmiri Pandits before Prof Soz. He urged him to facilitate the passage of Shrines Bill with inclusion of Kheer Bhawani and Shankaracharya temples in it, ensure decent living of the Jagti camp inmates and other transit accommodations in Valley and facilitate the filling up of remaining 4500 posts under PM’s package by issuing immediate advertisement for remaining 3000 posts with one time compensation to over aged youth.
He stressed on consolidation of KP votes and enlisting of left over votes besides giving a political space to the community.
The KP delegation also met Revenue Minister, Mr Khan and Minister of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma.
