KPS takes strong exception to derogatory remarks of Dr Koul

JAMMU, Apr 3: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) has taken strong exception to the highly derogatory and deplorable remarks by Dr Sameer Koul, leader of the NC about the KP community which has not only left a bad taste but has also shown him in very poor light.
Instead of starting his innings with the NC on a postive note after having resigned from the PDP Koul has for some reason chosen to take resorts to negative politics which has been rejected by the people of the State entirely, KPS president K K Khosa said in a statement issued here today.
Khosa said that while batting for the Hurriyat whose whole politics is based on negativity and which has heaped untold misery on the people of Kashmir, Sameer Koul has forgotten that it is the Hurriyat which actively connived with the extremists at the behest of Pakistan in driving away lakhs of KPs in 1990 who had to leave behind homes and hearths in order to save their life , honour and dharma from the merchants of death and destruction whom he is speaking for.
He said even last year the stone pelting agitation was used to frighten KP employees to drive them away. Calling KP community fascist is highly derogatory and reprehensible, he added.
Khosa said although we have no objection to his joining the NC or any other political party of his choosing but he needs to be reminded that he has no mandate from the community to speak on its behalf and that too in such a deplorable way. Koul has brought ridicule upon himself by trying to depict the community as a commodity which can be sold and purchased, KPS president added and advised the NC leader to refrain from using such words in future.
Khosa said that it is for the first time in decades that that KP community is going to have  two MLCs simultaneously and it does not matter to which party they belong as long as they remain accessible to each and every individual of the community to address their issues. He said after the demise of P L Handoo no representative of the community has been included in the Cabinet by NC which has been waiting for political empowerment during six year rule of NC-Congress combine and the community just had one MLC.
Khosa has warned the NC leadership to refrain from utterances against the KP community during the by elections as it seems that the KP community gets maligned for none of its role in the present scenario.
