JAMMU, Apr 13: Kashmiri Pandits today continued protest at Jammu and Delhi against the separatists and some main stream political parties including National Conference (NC) for opposing composite township in Kashmir for rehabilitation of militancy victims.
The activists of JCC supported by Panun Kashmir and other camp organizations including relief holders took out a rally from Jagti to Press Club Jammu and held a candle march from jewel Chowk to Press Club in the evening in protest against the separatist and some main stream political parties including Engineer Rashid for spelling venom and spreading canards about a peace loving community.
The protestors asked the Union Government to address the core issue of KPs genocide and declared that nothing except the Margdarshan resolution of 1991 calling for separate homeland within Valley was acceptable to the community.
They said the majority community of Valley has been exposed for their anti Pandit outbursts and also condemned the statements of Engineer Rashid, MLA Langate.
They said that those who indulged in religious cleansing have no moral right to decide about the rehabilitation of Pandits. The protestors said that Pandits need empowerment and settlement of their core issues including the punishment to the killers of the community. Ravi Zutshi, president JCC, Ajay Bhat and PK president Vijay Bhat addressed the gathering.
KPC also protested at Dwarika New Delhi today against the outbursts of Engineer Rashid who has launched a tirade against the KP community.
The KPC also criticized the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for taking complete U Turn on return formula and composite township. It said that some confusion is being created in the community by some vested interests including Government on their rehabilitation and nothing except a separate State within Valley is acceptable to community.
Meanwhile all camp organizations of Jagti have decided to observe a complete bandh tomorrow in protest against the separatists and some main stream parties opposed composite township in Valley.
