3-day Navreh Mahotsav concludes

JAMMU, Mar 23: The three days ‘Navreh Mahotsav-2023’ culminated with a virtual address by Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji to the Global Kashmiri Hindu community today celebrated as Shaurya Divas.
Spiritual Guru praised the efforts of Kashmiri Pandits in protecting and conserving the culture, civilization and Dharma. While condemning the targeted killing of Kashmiri Pandits he prayed for the peace, hope and prosperity for the community. He stressed that the countrymen have to be united in defeating the inimical forces which are trying to divide the country.
While deliberating on Kashmiri Shaivism he elaborated that the manuscripts written by Acharya Abhinavgupt must be read and thoroughly understood by all to know the knowledge of science embedded in these manuscripts. He welcomed the announcement made by Home Minister of India about the Sharda Corridor.
The Navreh celebrations started on March 21 as Tyaag Divas in the memory of Shriya Bhat, the saviour of Kashmiri Hindus during 15th Century. Different speakers at different places threw light on the life and sacrifice of Vaida Acharya Shriya Bhat.
On second day of ‘Navreh Mahotsav on 22nd March 2023’ celebrated as ‘Sankalp Divas’ globally displaced community members took a solemn pledge in the morning while performing the ritual darshan of “Navreh Thal” that community will celebrate the next Navreh in Kashmir valley with dignity in a peaceful environment.
Dr M K Bharat Chairman of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra Jammu threw light on the Navreh Mahotsav 2023 and Mayur Raina recited a poem related to Navreh Sankalp. J. L. Koul deliberated on the sacrifice of Shriya Bhat and valour of Samrat Lalitaditya.
Today the Virtual address by Gurudev was attended in big groups at more than 60 places in Jammu and outside.
Yesterday an oath taking ceremony was held at newly constructed Thalwal shrine in Tawi Island by hundreds of members of the community. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Chand Ji and among others it was attended by Ex MLC, G L Raina, BJP leaders H L Bhat, Moti Lal Bhat, Rajiv Kumar etc. Former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta was as Chief guest who assured full support to Kashmir Pandits struggle and said the whole country was with them.
