JAMMU, June 4: Various Kashmiri Pandit organizations have demanded CBI probe into the death of Constable Sameer Bhat in view of contradictory statements given by Police regarding the motive of the accused for killing Bhat.
The Kashmiri Pandit social activists Pinto Ji and Chand Ji Khar in a joint stamen criticized the Government for not locating the body of the slain cop till date whose death is a great mystery. They demanded that the killers be dealt under the law of the land and a CBI probe initiated besides the family be fully compensated as admissible for the cops killed in terrorist action.
Sanjay Dhar vice president RSPS also demanded CBI probe into the killing of Bhat in view of contradictory statements by police. He said the way the statements are being given by police it indicates that the killing of cop was a part of big conspiracy and the truth can be unraveled through a CBI probe only.
He also demanded that the family be paid full compensation as admissible under rules with a job to the next kin. The KPs warned agitation in case delaying tactics were adopted in settling the case of Sameer Bhat and punishing the killers.
