JAMMU, Mar 14: An emergency meeting was held in Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Ambphalla Jammu which was presided by its president K. K. Khosa.
The members decided to cancel all celebrations connected with Navreh, Zangtrai and even Annual Hawan in view of the seriousness of coronavirus epidemic felt all over the world. Also the Government notification of desisting from holding big congregation to save human life was appreciated. The members appealed to biradari to appreciate the KPS decision held for the safety and well being of its members and community. Sabha praised the efforts of the UT / Union Government in tackling this serious threat.
Meanwhile Durga Nag Trust has also decided to cancel its all programmes regarding Navreh, Zangtrai and annual Hawan. The Trust president, Vijay Bakaya said that he has been informed by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir that all public gatherings will not be allowed to be held in view of the Coronavirus so that Trust has decided to cancel the annual hawan at holy shrine of Durga Nag, Srinagar as well as the Navratra and Zangtrai functions to be held by the Trust at Jammu also.
