KPs continue protests, observe Jagti bandh

JAMMU, Apr 14: Kashmiri Pandits continued protests at different parts of Jammu region today against the separatist Hurriyat, JKLF and some mainstream political parties opposing the composite township in Valley for militancy victims leading an exiled life for over last 26 years in Jammu and other parts of country.
In Jagti the members of KP community observed a complete bandh today and also took out a strong procession towards National Highway Nagrota where a protest was held for two hours.
All organizations of Jagti township participated in the bandh. The protestors raising slogans against the separatists, some main stream political parties and Engineer Rashid warned them of serious consequences in opposing resettlement of Pandits in a composite township in Valley.
The protestors said that the separatists as well as the leaders of some main stream parties who were wearing the secular mask and hoodwinking the people on the name of secularism have been exposed before the entire world. These leaders are wolf in lamb’s clothes and in real sense they are marauders of secular values, they added.
The protestors strongly reiterated demand for a township in the Valley. A large number of people including women, children, young and elderly people participated. They said that Kashmiri Pandits are the real aborigines of Kashmir and no power on the earth can debar them from their settlement in a township in the Valley. The protesters condemned the bandh call by the Hurriyat against the settlement of KPs in the Valley. They categorically opposed the opinion of the separatist groups for rehabilitation in respective native areas. Such people are wholly and solely responsible for genocide of KPs, they added.
They said People like Bita Karate and other extremists involved in killing of many Kashmiri Pandits have not been so for even booked and lodged in jail.
Pintoo ji, Desh Rattan ,Shadi Lal,Roshan Lal Raina,Vir ji,Ravinder Ji, A.K Sadhu, T.K.Dhar,Raj Dhar Chaman Lal, Sunil Kmr,Rajinder, Ashwani addressed The protesters.
Another protest was held by KPs at Muthi Camp Phase II under the leadership of T N Koul in support of the bandh call given by inmates of Jagti camp.
The protestors shouted slogans against JKLF, Hurriyat, PDF and other separatist leaders and some main stream political parties opposing the composite township in Valley.
The protest was held under the banner of Migrant Welfare Committee TRT -I Muthi Camp.
They held the separatists responsible for the present plight of displaced Pandits who are leading an exiled life for last 26 years in refugee camps all over the country and still the majority community of Kashmir claims to champion the cause of secularism.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party Migrant Cell president InderJi Labroo has also expressed his dismay over the outbursts of separatists and other political parties opposed to settlement of Pandits in a composite township in Valley. Labroo said there is no alternative except settling Pandtis at a separate place within Kashmir.
