KPs concern over ransacking, looting of house at Vicharnag

JAMMU, Feb 25: Various KP bodies have expressed their concern over the ransacking of a residence of a Kashmiri Pandit family at Vichar Nag Soura, in Srinagar last week and looting the costly goods including ornaments.
The President KPC, Kundan Kashmiri, President All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC), Desh Rattan, Relief holders led by Ravinder Koul and social activist M K Pandita has demanded immediate action against the culprits responsible for the same.
In their separate statements Kundan Kashmir and Desh Rattan Pandita said on the one hand the Union Government is talking about the return and rehabilitation of Pandits in Valley while on the other hand the members of minority community residing in Valley for last three decades feel insecure as they lack security and protection.
They have demanded strict action against the culprits responsible for trespassing and ransacking the house in which Vikas Amabardar and his family were residing as tenants and which belonged to Vichar Nag Trust Asthapan.
The Soura Police has registered an FIR in this regard February 17 but no one has been arrested so far. Police said that they have registered the FIR 1212020 US 454, 380 IPC and started investigation.
The KP bodies have sought immediate attention of Lt Governor G C Murmu towards the issue.
