KPS asks community not to celebrate Diwali in support of package employees

JAMMU, Oct 22: A meeting of Executive Body of KP Sabha was called under the chairmanship of K. K. Khosa, president to discuss political scenario of the community in general and PM Package employee in particular.
The members raised their concern about insecurity and stoppage of salary of these employees. After threadbare discussion on the issue, it was resolved that Government of UT J & K should immediately issue orders for release of salary on the occasion of forthcoming Diwali festival as humanitarian gesture in respect of these employees and not to coerce them for bio-metric attendance till the suitable situation is created for them to resume their duties in the Valley.
The Sabha wants to impress upon the Government that security of our children is of utmost concern and any pressure tactics will have its consequences. Further, Government has failed to provide adequate and secure accommodation to all package employees. The Sabha appealed to entire KP community not to celebrate forthcoming Diwali as a mark of support and solidarity with these employees.
