NEW DELHI, Mar 14: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while expressing concern over the recent Fidayeen attack in Srinagar and deteriorating situation in Valley said this is an eye opener for those who demand revocation of AFSPA and recall of security forces.
Addressing a meeting of KPC activists here today to discuss the prevailing situation in Valley its president Kundan Kashmiri said that rehabilitation of Pandits at a consolidated place is only solution to their return to Valley.
Kashmiri urged the Government to take a tough stand against Pakistan which has been responsible for the Valley situation and also curb the terrorism with iron hands. He said common Kashmiri is also fed up with the terrorism but due to the lack of will on the part of Government to deal firmly with terrorism and Pakistan the terrorism has received anew lease of life in Valley.
He demanded action under law against JKLF leader Yasin Malik and said he should be dealt under treason.
He said rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits at “Kashyup home land” will pave way to resolve so- called Kashmir issue under the ambit of Indian constitution as well as the problems of displaced Kashmiri Pandits will also be solved, who are in exile from the last 23 years. Kundan Kashmiri said State and Central Governments should state that how long Kashmiri Pandits have to remain in exile and why they are unheard, isolated, ignored and their human rights are violated, despite of being staunch nationalists.
KPC also criticized pseudo secularist leaders particularly Omar Abdullah for shedding crocodile tears for antinational and destructive forces just to serve their vote bank policy and not showing such sentiments for security forces who were brutally killed in the state to maintain law & order. These so- called secularists also always down played the role of Army and security forces who protect life and property of Kashmiri masses at crucial stage at their life risk and face lot of natural and manmade challenges. It was Army and security forces which brought some normalcy in the valley and “Sadhbawana schemes” for the welfare of Kashmiri masses, it added.
