JAMMU, June 26: Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC) and Harmukh Society Dwarika, New Delhi, in a joint meeting today strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on Indian Army and other security personnel at Srinagar and termed the act as cowardice, brutality and beyond tolerance.
The meeting, which was chaired by KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri warned the subversives that these acts would not be tolerated any more by the peace loving and patriotic people.
KPC chief said that Hurriyat and other separatists have lost their credibility and they were misleading the people asking them to observe bandhs and hartals. He said they have been exposed and how long they can exploit the Kashmiris for their vested interests.
Taking strong exception to a statement of NC leader Mustafa Kamaal accusing some pro-Army agencies of recent attacks in Kashmir to retain the AFSPA, Kashmiri said that it indicates that NC is trying to bail out terrorists for anti national acts. The Union Government should take serious note of the same and Congress as a coalition partner should explain its stand over the issue.
He also strongly rejected the NC’s demand of autonomy as well as working groups and interlocutors recommendations and supported the abrogation of Article 370 as demanded by BJP leader L K Advani.
He said situation in Kashmir was not conducive for return of Pandits and any move in this regard will boomerang and reiterated the settlement of Pandits in Kashyap State.
The meeting also paid homage to Army jawans killed in Kashmir and yatris killed in Uttrakhand cloud burst.
