JAMMU, Feb 11 : Panun Kashmir, (PK) today asked for more participation of migrant youths in the community’s struggle for reversal of their exodus from Kashmir valley.
“Time has come for diasporic KP youth to play a vital role in the ongoing struggle of the community for reversal of their exodus from Kashmir valley,” PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar said during an executive meeting of its youth wing here.
“There is need to adopt new methods of functioning and newer instruments of consolidating and empowering the displaced youths to further the movement with fresh energy,” he said.
He said youth should use social media to reach out to millions of country men to garner support for the movement.
He criticised the State and Central Governments for belatedly implementing only one-fifth portion of the PM’s employment package that too on “unconstitutional and discriminatory” conditions tagged with it.
“It has been the design of the State Government to force our youth into thinking that they are not going to get jobs in the State of Jammu and Kashmir which further scattered them from Jammu province,” he alleged.
The PK convener expressed solidarity with APMCC leader Vinod Pandita who is on indefinite strike at Porbandar in support of his charter of demands which include passing of long pending Kashmir Temples and Shrine Bill.
Agnishekhar also termed the recent enhancement of cash relief to KPs by Rs 400 per person as a “cruel joke and insulting” and urged the authorities to review the decision and increase the relief amount to Rs 15,000 per family in view of the unprecedented price hike.
He said Y4PK has decided to organize “Jagti se Jagat Tak” youth convention of inmates of Jagti camp which would connect Jagti youth with their fellow achievers world wide through webcast to help them explore new opportunities in various fields.
