JAMMU, Jan 14: Ashok Koul, general secretary organization, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has asked the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists to gear up for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and ensure maximum participation of youth by bringing them into party fold right from the grass root level.
He said this while presiding over the BJYM’s introductory meeting with Jammu and Kashmir State office bearers and district presidents held at the party Headquarters here, today.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were State president BJYM, Arun Prabhat and All Morcha Prabhari, Munish Sharma.
The meeting commenced with the welcome address by State president, Arun Prabhat followed by the introduction of the BJYM cadre with the senior leaders of BJP.
Ashok Koul explained in detail the organizational structure and functioning to the BJYM office bearers and workers. He said that BJP is a party of principles, working for the upliftment of all the sections of the society, irrespective of their religion, caste and creed and its activists form its backbone. However, the BJYM Karyakartas are the greatest asset of the party as they are in continuous contact of the people in general and youth in particular at the grass roots level. While the BJP gives its workers full opportunity to move forward, the BJYM workers are expected to proactively carry forward the legacy of the party keeping public service devoid of any discrimination at the core of their functioning policy.
He asked the BJYM activists to further intensify the efforts to motivate more and more youth into the party fold before the elections are held for the J&K Assembly.
While addressing the meeting, Arun Prabhat briefed the party workers and activists about their responsibilities and duties as foot soldiers of the world’s largest political party. He also detailed them about the upcoming programmes of the party especially in the context of impending Assembly elections.
Morcha Prabhari Munish Sharma in his address asked the workers to focus on highlighting the Central Government schemes tailored specially for the people of every category and ensure that even the last tail ender gets the benefit of these schemes.
