SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Cabinet today ordered transfer of Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner Secretary, Transport Department as Commissioner Secretary PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
Mr Kotwal will take over the charge upon the superannuation of B D Sharma on October 31, 2012.
The charge of the Transport Department has been given to Mohammad Abbas Dar, Secretary Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department in addition to his own duties till further orders.
The Cabinet also regularized the promotions of Anita Koul, Mohammad Syed Shah, Irshad Ahmed Mir, Mohammad Ashraf Mir and Raj Kumar Koul as Special Secretaries in Law Department.
It also released Time Scale of KAS in favour of six retired officers of Excise and Taxation, Industries and Commerce (Functional Manager), Information and Administrative Officers departmental feeding services.
These officers are Mohammad Maqbool Tantray, Munir Hussain, Tsering Wangchuk, Khursheed Ahmed Gangoo, Naresh Kumar Choudhary and Abdul Jalil Malik.
