KATHUA, July 9: The residents of village Kote in Basholi tehsil held a protest demonstration against the Jal Shakti Department in front of its Sub Divisional office today.
The protestors alleged that due to snapping of the water supply line since a long time the villagers are facing acute shortage of drinking water and they have to fetch the same at a distance of over one kilometer. They said that despite taking up the issue with the concerned officers of the Department they failed to settle the same till date forcing the villagers to come to streets.
