Kohli, Zulfkar visit Hiranagar to meet family of murdered girl

KATHUA: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli and Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affair, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali on Tuesday visited the family of eight year old-Asifa who was murdered in Rasana village of Hiranagar recently and assured action against culprits.

Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjars and Bakerwals, Choudhary Gulzar Khatna also accompanied the Ministers.

The Ministers expressed condolence with the bereaved family and termed the incident as heinous and inhumane. They said the government is committed to identify and punish the culprits so that no such unfortunate incident takes place again.

Kohli and Zulfkar said that on the directions of Chief Minister the government has already transferred the case to Crime Branch to investigate the matter in a time bound manner for assured justice.

Deputy Commissioner Kathua and other senior officers of the district were also present on the occasion.
