RAJOURI, July 13: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Abdul Ghani Kohli today convened a meeting of officers at Kalakote to review the physical and financial achievements achieve under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
The Minister took a detailed review of the progress registered in implementation of the various Centrally Sponsored Schemes launched in the State for welfare of the people.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister asked the officers to work with zeal and missionary vision so that the benefit of these schemes percolate to the target population. He directed the concerned officers to increase field visits and reach out to the people for redressing their problems in an effective and time bound manner. He stressed upon the officers of Rural Development Department to work in convergence with other line departments so as to create durable assets
Highlighting the achievements of Rural Development Department, ACD Rajouri apprised that Rs. 2911.41 lakh have been spent on completion of about 1035 projects during the current financial year.
District Social Welfare Officer informed that in Tehsil Kalakote, 1447 cases have been sanctioned under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, whereas a total of 2379 cases have been covered under the Integrated Social Security Scheme during the current financial year.
Similarly, the District Officers of other departments also briefed the Minister regarding the achievement registered during the current fiscal.
Later, addressing the gathering, the Minister exhorted upon them to come forward and avail the benefits of the schemes launched for their benefits, saying that their participation in development process in also important.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Bhat, ADDC Rajouri G.S. Chib, Executive Engineer PDD, PHE, PWD, besides other district officers were also attended the meeting.
