Kohli inaugurates Veterinary clinical laboratory at Doda

DODA: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today inaugurated the district veterinary clinical laboratory and residential quarters in presence of MLA Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar.

The laboratory has been constructed at a cost of rupees 11.26 lacs under state plan.

Speaking to the public, the Minister said that government is determined to provide better health facilities for livestock to bring a qualitative change in yield and breed of the animals besides reducing outbreaks of infections and reducing mortality rates in animals.

The Minister urged the people to get their livestock tested for undiagnosed subclinical diseases and get proper medication against different types of worm infestation. He further encouraged farmers to get their animals properly vaccinated, their milk samples tested and advised them to follow a regular vaccination schedule to avoid economic loses.

MLA Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar, MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina, Director Animal Husbandry S.K. Abrol , Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, doctors and other Staff of Veterinary Department were also present on the occasion.
